On September 3, the Ministry of industry and information technology released the operation of the battery industry from January to July 2020, as follows:

1、 Production situation

From January to July 2020, among the main products of the national battery manufacturing industry, the output of lithium-ion batteries was 8.84 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%; The output of lead-acid battery was 117.758 million kilovolt ampere hours, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year; The output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non button type) reached 21.7 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.0%.

In July, the national output of lithium-ion batteries reached 1.62 billion, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year; The output of lead-acid battery was 21.414 million kilovolt ampere hours, with a year-on-year increase of 26.2%; The output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non button type) was 3.88 billion, an increase of 7.9% year-on-year.

2、 Benefits

From January to July 2020, the operating revenue of battery manufacturing enterprises above Designated Size nationwide was 379.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.7%, and the total profit was 15.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%.
