The quotation of power lithium iron phosphate has reached 45000 yuan / ton: market demand and raw material price rise support

In February, the average market price rose to 41000 yuan / ton, up 10.81% from the same period in January. In March, the momentum of price rise still did not stop, and the price soared to 43000 yuan / ton, up 16.22% from the same period in January, or 6000 yuan / ton.

In terms of enterprises, the latest quotation of power lithium iron phosphate of German nano, beiteri, Guanghua technology and other enterprises has risen to 45000 yuan / ton today (March 4).

Behind the rise in the price of lithium iron phosphate, there is a substantial increase in market demand.

According to the analysis of Kaiyuan securities, this round of price rise of lithium iron phosphate is mainly driven by the improvement of supply and demand pattern brought by the strong recovery of the demand side, as well as the follow-up catalysis of raw material lithium carbonate. In the medium and long term, lithium iron phosphate batteries have high cost performance in energy storage and electric vehicles, but the overseas market has not yet been opened. It is expected that with the promotion of relevant demonstration models and projects, a new cycle of lithium iron phosphate will come.

According to the latest data of China automotive power battery industry innovation alliance, the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries in China in January 2021 was 5.2gwh, accounting for 43.1% of the total output, with a year-on-year increase of 493.6%; The loading capacity of lithium iron phosphate battery was 3.3gwh, with a year-on-year increase of 349.8%. Last year, the cumulative loading volume of lithium iron phosphate batteries in China was 24.4gwh, accounting for 38.3% of the total loading volume, with a cumulative increase of 20.6% year-on-year, which was the main product driving the overall year-on-year increase in loading volume.

On March 3, Xiaopeng announced that it plans to launch lithium iron phosphate models: Xiaopeng P7 launched a rear drive standard range model, and Xiaopeng G3 added a 460C model. Among them, the Xiaopeng P7 rear drive standard range model has two versions, Zhixiang version and supreme version, both of which use lithium iron phosphate batteries. In addition, the recently popular Wuling Hongguang Mini EV and BYD Han EV are also equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries.

According to the data released by Research Institute EV sales on March 2, Wuling Hongguang Mini EV ranked first with 37000 vehicles in the global electric vehicle sales ranking in January this year.

BYD Han EV sold 12103 vehicles in January this year, becoming the first high-end C-class car sold more than 10000 vehicles in China's automotive industry, and continues to stabilize the top four camps of 250000 class medium and large cars.
